Dr. David Cheng and Dr. Lu Wang performed research on 124 students from a large Australian University. They found that humor increases our ability be more productive and accurate in executing tasks.

Embracing fun can pay dividends at the workplace. According to Gallup and the Queen’s School of Business, workers who operated in a stressful workplace tended to become more disengaged and suffer from burnout. These employees had 49% more accidents and 37% higher absenteeism.

Is fun learning really that important?

In a study performed by Dr. Randall L. Garner, he randomly assigned two groups consisting of 117 undergraduate students to review three 40-minute identical lecture videos about statistics. One group’s video were injected with humour – namely jokes.
